Jungle Book update: After consulting with the Cumberland County Playhouse regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) and schools closing, the Disney Musicals in Schools program and Martin Elementary's production of The Jungle Book is being postponed. We are in talks with Disney about when to reschedule and should be hearing something from them soon. We will let you know as soon as we have more information to share. We hope everyone is staying healthy and using music to get through this time.

Mrs. Walther's Art Activities and Resources A few of the artists we have studied: Frida Kahlo, Andy Warhol, Georgia O'Keeffe, Red Grooms, George Ridrigue, Jacob Lawrence, Wayne Thiebaud, Roy Lichtenstein. Grades 4-6 should explore the art of Peter Anton as an extension to our recent sculpture projects. He is a super fun artist! Warning - his art might make you hungry! http://www.artnet.com/artists/peter-anton/2 Lastly, we have studied The Whydah pirate ship closely. This ship was discovered by a team of adventurers in Cape Cod. My friend's dad was part of this team! There are two Whydah museums of which one is now owned by National Geographic! This was the inspiration of our Jacob Lawrence style series chronicling the slave ship to pirate ship to sunken treasure!
